Intolerance testing can be extremely beneficial to help you to improve your health and also help you to improve your diet. But many people do not always understand the process when they come to Test Your Intolerance and often have questions about how it works. So, to help out our customers, we have put together some answers to help you understand the processes. These are the 5 most important questions that we often get answered, which are also covered in our FAQ’s:
Do you have to pay anything to additional for your intolerance test?
So, if you have purchased one of our hair testing kits, then you will have to pay the cost of the postage back to our laboratory and processing centre, but that is it. If you purchase a blood intolerance test, then you will receive a freepost return envelope inside the kit, which will be sent back to you. The reason we prefer to work via email and with our submission form is to keep our costs low for the customer. This means that we can offer a comprehensive and accurate testing kit at our competitive prices.
How do I order an intolerance test from Test Your Intolerance?
Intolerance tests can be offered online through our website, via our secure checkout. For the most secure payments, we recommend that you buy directly from here, as we are a verified company with PayPal. Upon purchase, we include our address, email address and phone number, so that you contact us if you have any questions! If you do have any questions, you can also get in touch with us via the Contact Us page.
How do I take a hair sample?
The safest way to take your hair sample for intolerance testing is to get some help from a close family or friend, or anyone that is near you. This is to minimise risk. The best way is to then brush your hair upwards and reveal the root area at the back of the head, meaning you can then hold a small amount of hair between the finger and the thumb. Cut the hair as close to your scalp as possible, but if you do not have anyone to help you then you can utilise a mirror to help you avoid any injury. If you would rather choose one of our blood intolerance testing kits, then you can order one here.
How much of a hair sample do you need for intolerance testing?
This is perhaps one of our most common questions when it comes to intolerance testing and an intolerance test. We only need a small amount of hairs, and we do not require large clumps of hair which will help you to get the best out of your intolerance testing process. At most, we require 5 individual strands of hair. But please do be aware that we do not require large clumps of hair.
My results don’t show any intolerances or allergies yet I have uncomfortable symptoms, how can these results be correct?
Lastly, in the very unlikely occurrence of zero results on your allergy and intolerance test, we would recommend speaking to and visiting your GP to help you understand your symptoms and their root cause. It could be that your symptoms are not caused by an allergy or intolerance at all, but it is always important to rule them out first. Allergies MUST be taken seriously and are potentially life-threatening.
