25-hydroxy Vitamin D level less than 30ng/mL indicates Vitamin D Deficiency or Insufficiency.

This test uses a blood test sample, but why?

The at-home collection kit is a 25-hydroxy Vitamin D (calcifediol) blood test that is used to determine how much Vitamin D is in your body.[1] The blood concentration of calcifediol is considered the best indicator of Vitamin D status.[2]

How does this test work?

This test can be used to diagnose Vitamin D deficiencies, as well as indicating a higher risk for a Vitamin D deficiency. These results can be used as supporting evidence for the beginning of aggressive therapies in such patients.[3]
